Re: New run of orbshields
Hi Vic. I'm using a Razer Naga mouse. It has 12 programmable buttons on side plus 2 on top. enough buttons for me, plus the 12 on the 4000. I tested the WASD sketch and works fine. Since i'm using with a mouse, I disabled all the mouse axis emulation in the sketch. A bit more stable in the movement ...

Re: New run of orbshields
Well some good news. I changed the new orbotron_translator.h file by copying the gain commands from the 5000 section to the 4000 section and changed the joystick.ino to use chart_1 sensitivities and voila, the 4000 FLX's work flawlessly in Retrovirus. I am using the 4000 on my left and the mouse on ...

Re: New run of orbshields
Hi all, haven't been around for awhile and thought I'd take a look at what progress has been made. I received one of the first prototypes from vic so thanks again vic! I had a spaceorb 360 and it works
well. I bought a pair of IBM rebranded 4000 FLX spaceballs off ebay for $10 and they work ...

Re: New run of orbshields
Just my 2 cents. I d/l the arduino enviroment 1.0.3 as per installation instructions for orbotron 9000.
I then copy/pasted the Orbotron directories as per installation instructions.
I plugged in the Orbotron 9k and checked the COM port in device manager.

Re: New run of orbshields
Hi Vic, I did receive your PM. Did you get mine? If so, let me know if paypal is
ok and let me know how much you need to cover shipping and parts and whatever
else you need. I'm looking forward to testing. I can do soldering if needed but would
prefer finished board to eliminate any errors on my ...

Re: New run of orbshields
Btw, I am playing Retrovirus and it's pretty good. Has anyone tried their space orb
with that game and how does it perform? Using mouse and keyboard is very difficult
for me. Even if I lower mouse sensitivity to 100 dpi and set in game to 0, it's very
jerky. I resorted to using a Saitek P990, and it ...

Re: New run of orbshields
Sounds great vputz. Any chance I can get a "test" board? I'm dying to try it out. I'm
pretty competent with computers and will familiarize myself with the Arduino programming
environment. But it looks simple enough. Thanks again for all the hard work.

Re: New run of orbshields
Hello and thank you for your efforts. I'm in the states and recently dug up my SpaceOrb 360 and would love to get it working in Win 7 64 bit. I was an electronics
technician in the Navy, and not too scared of soldering, though I have never soldered SMC parts. I would prefer a completed solution and ...
