ORBDCNT.BAT, ORBDCNT2.BAT





This directory contains a self-extracting ZIP archive file called 



ORBDCNT.EXE which itself contains ORBDCNT.BAT and ORBDCNT2.BAT. You



can use ORBDCNT.BAT and ORBDCNT2.BAT to launch Descent and Descent 2



with the SpaceOrb drivers and any Descent command line options that



you wish to enable.





Installation and Use

Download ORBDCNT.EXE to your \DESCENT or \DESCENT2 directory. Run the



executable file to extract the batch files. In the \SPCWARE\SPACEORB\GAMES



directory edit DESCENT.BAT or DESCENT2.BAT and add %1 %2 %3 to the following



line so that it looks like this:





C:\SPCWARE\SPACEORB\GAMES\spwdcent.exe -exe descentr.exe %1 %2 %3 -dir C:\GAMES\DESCENT

C:\SPCWARE\SPACEORB\GAMES\spwdcnt2.exe -exe descent2.exe %1 %2 %3 -dir C:\GAMES\DESCENT2





Do not make any other changes to the line. It should be one single line,



not wrapped to another.





Save the changes. To use the batch file, just type ORBDCNT from your



Descent directory or ORBDCNT2 from your Descent 2 directory with your



desired command line arguments. To run a game with no music for example,



just type:





orbdcnt -nomusic

orbdcnt2 -nomusic





You may use up to three parameters.
