November 19, 1996 ---------------------------------------- Windows 95 Gamemaster Software - Release The file in this directory, GAME404.EXE, is a self-extracting ZIP file containing the released version of the SpaceOrb Gamemaster software. The Gamemaster software provides advanced tuning tools for the SpaceOrb which let you change the sensitivities of each axis individually for each game and remap the axes so that you can change the function of each axis (so if, for example, you wanted to run forward by pulling backward on the ball, you could). If you encounter any problems running the program, please send reports to spaceorb@spacetec.com. Installing ---------- Download the GAME404.EXE file from the Spacetec ftp site to a temporary folder on your hard drive. In Windows Explorer, find the GAME404.EXE file in the temporary folder, and double click it. A DOS window will open, and you will see the PKUNZIP program run to extract the files contained in GAME404.EXE. When PKUNZIP has finished, close the DOS window. In Windows 95, click on Start->Run and click the Browse... button. In the Browse window, select the temporary folder, and then double-click SETUP.EXE. Additional Features ------------------- In addition to the Gamemaster software, this file also contains several other additions: - Turns off the Death Blossom mode (circle strafe) in Descent II. - The updated Duke Nukem II driver that features weapons scrolling from the SpaceOrb and improved look-up-and-down response. - Shuts off the "Green is Turbo" message in network Doom sessions. NOTE ---- Read the README.TXT file that will be extracted when you run GAME404.EXE. It contains more detailed information regarding the product.
