February 27, 1997 * BETA SOFTWARE * THIS SOFTWARE IS NOT TO BE USED WITH 4.7 ----------------------------------------- DOS Gamemaster Software - Second Beta Release The file in this directory, GM404B2D.EXE, is a self-extracting ZIP file containing the release of the SpaceOrb Gamemaster software. The Gamemaster software provides advanced tuning tools for the SpaceOrb which let you change the sensitivities of each axis individually for each game and remap the axes so that you can change the function of each axis (so if, for example, you wanted to run forward by pulling backward on the ball, you could). Installing ---------- Download the GM404B2D.EXE file from the Spacetec ftp site to a temporary directory on your hard drive. In DOS, change to that directory, and type "GM404B2D" (without the quotes) at the DOS prompt. You will see the PKUNZIP program run to extract the files contained in GM404B2D.EXE When PKUNZIP has finished. Type INSTALL and enter if you installed the SpaceOrb files in the default directories, or INSTALLH if you installed them in a different directory. Additional Features ------------------- In addition to the Gamemaster software, this file also contains several other additions: - Turns off the Death Blossom mode (circle strafe) in Descent II. - The updated Duke Nukem II driver that features weapons scrolling from the SpaceOrb and improved look-up-and-down response. - Shuts off the "Green is Turbo" message in network Doom sessions.
